How did probiotics change your life?
I have always struggled with gut health. Whatever brought that on, I couldn’t say, but breaking down foods has been a challenge for me even before I knew what that challenge was. Giving my gut the extra help it needs to fight the good fight for my body is the most important thing I do every morning. I am regular, energetic and ready for whatever challenge food can bring. And there are MANY!
Why is gut health so important for overall wellbeing?
Our gut is central to the health of many of our other organs. Without a healthy gut, those other organs can suffer in a big way. We now know that most of the body’s serotonin is produced in the gut. Which means, an overall sense of wellbeing cannot even be achieved without our guts working smoothly.

I know you're vegan. Are there any foods that just make you feel better and have more energy?
Wheatgrass. There is nothing like it. What is the most important part of your yoga practice? Alignment! Without it you aren’t doing yoga! How has your relationship with your body changed over the years? I know my body better than I ever have. I listen to it. I also thank it for giving me the problems it has, because it put me on a journey to understanding how the body can function optimally.
Why did you start ActivatedYou?
I wanted to create a line of probiotics that had everything I was looking for. In my journey to improve my own health, I became extremely passionate about helping others out of the hole I was in. With this product and the education Dr. de Mello and I are able to share, there is nothing to stop us from giving everyone the help they need to live vibrant and fuller lives.
