Cacao Superfood Smoothie

INGREDIENTS

1 cup milk (almond, oat, hemp, macadamia)

1 fresh or frozen medium banana

1 tbsp cacao powder

1 tbsp hemp seeds

1-2 servings of your preferred (chocolate) protein powder

1 tbsp chia seeds

A dash of sea salt

A little stevia or maple syrup, to sweeten (optional)

 

OPTIONAL ADD-ONS

½ cup fresh or frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or a mix)

½ tbsp coconut oil

¼ tsp cinnamon

¼ cup coffee

Kale powder, spirulina and chlorella

 

MIX IT ON UP

Place all the ingredients into your high-speed blender and blend for around 30-45 seconds or until nice and smooth.

 

Our favorite, most effective energy boosting foods

Spirulina, chlorella, chia and hemp seeds can all be thrown in your morning smoothie for a big boost. It helps balance your blood sugar, has super concentrated nutrients and gives you long-lasting energy. We also throw in avocados, organic berries, raw nuts and coconut oil. Energy-enhancing superfoods like cacao, maca or green tea can rev up the phytochemical power to energize you without the afternoon caffeine crash.
