Chick'n Style Black Pepper Stir Fry Bowl

INGREDIENTS
 

A block of tofu/seitan/chicken substitute
 

1 medium yellow onion, sliced

 

3 cloves of minced garlic

Half a head of broccoli, cooked


10 string beans (depends on the length of your string beans)

1 medium carrot, peeled & sliced

1⁄4 cup soy sauce

1 tbsp sugar/sweetener of choice (or more to taste)

2 inches fresh ginger, peeled and grated

1⁄2 tsp black pepper

1⁄4 cup water with 1 tsp corn flour
 

Salt, to taste

1 tbsp sunflower oil
 

 

METHOD

  • Add oil in a hot pan.
     

  • Add the onion and cook until translucent.
     

  • Add garlic and carrot and cook for 4-5 minutes.
     

  • Add the rest of the vegetables.
     

  • If using tofu, drain liquid and cut into cubes. You can either bake or fry them for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Add to your vegetables.
     

  • For the sauce, mix the soy sauce, water with corn flour, ginger, sugar, salt and black pepper.
     

  • Mix the sauce with the vegetables and protein of choice. Coat well. Add salt and sugar to taste. Add water if needed.
     

  • Serve with rice.
